Flameworking Studio

This is Zam's origin studio in glass, and continues to be home to many of her favorite techniques to execute.  This studio uses a torch on a work bench to heat rods and tubes so they can be manipulated in an infinite number of ways.

Hot Shop

This was the second approach to glass work Zam encountered .  This sister studio to the flame not only unlocked its own potential in her art practice, but more deeply informed her understanding of glass as a whole.

Fusing Studio

After realizing that working cross studio was so beneficial to how Zam understands Glass she kept expanding.  Next was the fusing studio.  Using many types of glass in different experiments these processes amplify her impulse for data collection.

Cold Shop

A studio to go with them all, and on its own.  The Cold Shop is a place of many specializations.  Carving, faceting, polishing.  "There are many tools to understand but that's what keeps it interesting." Zam says.
